What is Iodine?
Iodine is an essential brick in the human body for the building of thyroid hormones. Absorbed in the thyroid it is build-in there in the hormones T3 (Triiodothyronine) and T4 (Thyroxine). The iodine containing thyroid hormones are indispensable for the human body. They regulate the basal metabolic rate, the body temperature and all metabolism processes.
